Yuting Lin wins the Ruth Bowden Award

I am a LIDo DTP student based at the Royal Veterinary College since 2022, and I am delighted to have received the Ruth Bowden Award for my work on how birds stand up from sitting. https://bfwg.org.uk/bfwg2/bfwg-academic-awardees/

My research combines experiments, computational modelling, and comparative anatomy to uncover the principles that govern how muscles and nervous systems coordinate this movement, and how those principles shift with body size. These findings provide new insights into organismal design and evolution and have applications in animal rehabilitation and conservation.
