Pathways to PhD
The Medical Research Council Doctoral Training Partnership (MRC DTP) at King’s College London, in collaboration with the London Interdisciplinary Biosciences Programme (LIDo), UCL-Birkbeck MRC DTP, and NERC TREES Doctoral Landscape Award is hosting a free one-day event for prospective research students from underrepresented backgrounds in Higher Education.
This includes individuals from areas of low higher education participation, disadvantaged socioeconomic circumstances, minority ethnic groups, and those with care responsibilities or other barriers to access. This event is especially relevant to Home/UK prospective students intending to submit applications for PhD programmes in the forthcoming Autumn cycle or the subsequent academic year.
The event aims to promote equality of opportunity in access, success, and progression within the sector.
Delegates will hear from a range of experts and current funded PhD students through interactive Q&A sessions and panel discussions. The afternoon will feature tailored advice on applying for PhD opportunities. Lunch will be provided, and a limited number of travel bursaries are available for attendees travelling from outside Greater London.
