Kristina Ulicna Shortlisted for Forbes Slovakia 30 under 30

The world-known chart lists 30 of “the brightest young entrepreneurs, leaders and stars” who achieve outstanding results in their discipline(s) yet are under 30 years of age. Kristina, who's PhD involves cell biology and deep learning was awarded in the Science & Education’ category.

Upon hearing of her nomination, Kristina said:

"it’s an immense honour to represent biomedical researchers and ambitious young women in this year’s incredible selection of change-makers in the ’Science & Education’ category.'

'I truly hope to continue positively influencing the diverse world of prospective scientists to pursue their research journeys and to set example to those who wish to combine their interest in biomedicine with the practical application of computational biology and artificial intelligence approaches in the technological world.

'I think my placement at Microsoft Research helped a lot, as a bridging of the gap between biology and computer sciences."
