Public engagement grant empowers Samburu pastoralist communities in Northern Kenya.

Dr M. Hewitson was awarded a public engagement grant from UCL, which she utilised to fund participatory research methods such as, ‘photovoice’, in Northern Kenya, empowering communities to capture their perspectives on tick-borne disease risk and dynamics. 

The results from the participatory research will enable to the community to address gaps in knowledge and highlight gaps in resources to mitigate disease risks.
